Remember Geeta Basra? Yeah the starlet who’s only claim to fame is that she’s seeing Harbhajan Singh.  Well she may not be drawing eyeballs on screen but off it she’s doing a great job of it. Recently, the Indian cricket team was being felicitated at a five star hotel. As the team stood for a joint photograph, the manager realised that Harbhajan Singh was missing. A search ensued for the cricketer. After much hue and cry, bhajji was found chilling with his girlfriend in one of the hotel rooms booked in Basra’s name

Mallika Sherawat claims bikini pictures are stills from her movie but sources say the publicity hungry bombshell has lied. Mallika Sherawat has successfully pulled off yet another publicity hoax.

Recently, some snapshots were circulated in the media featuring the Bollywood queen of gimmicks in a two-piece bikini and sarong. It has reportedly been claimed they were scenes from Mallika's upcoming flick Double Dhamaal, scheduled to open on June 24, 2010.

Mallika, according to reports, had an elaborate poolside scene in the film. However, it now turned out that the film does not have any such sequence in it. There are perhaps a few fleeting seconds of Mallika in a bikini. But as always, the Bollywood-siren has managed to extract maximum mileage from the gimmick.

The film's PR unit has been quick to insist that a full-fledged poolside scene was originally there in the film and that it had been chopped off at the last moment because Double Dhamaal was meant to be a "good clean family comedy", but industry insiders claim otherwise. Some sources, to defend Mallika's claim, have been quick to spread the buzz that Mallika is angry that her bikini sequence had been chopped from the film.

Reema Sen's last film in Tamil was Aayirathil Oruvan. Her bold performance was the talk of the town. Drained by the effort, she took a break from cinema and simply chilled out for a bit. After that she signed on a Telugu film with three newcomers and is currently shooting for it in Malaysia.
Bollywood also came calling and the feisty actress was roped in for Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur with Manoj Bajpai which will be released in two parts. The latest on Reema is that she will be acting opposite Mamooty and Suresh Gopi in the Malayalam film, King and the Commissioner.
We hope to see her soon in Tamil films.

That night at the hotel of course it was Malaika’s bonding time sis Amrita. Last seen the entire gang was having fun  around the dinner table.

Priyanka is quite kicked about Gaga performing in Mumbai. In February this year, Priyanka had personally met Lady Gaga after attending her concert at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Priyanka had asked Lady Gaga to come to India.

Now that Priyanka’s wish is coming true, the actress is excited about meeting the singer.

“She was very keen on doing something in India and it's great if she does make her way out here soon. I look forward to meeting her again,” Priyanka is quoted to have said.

Lady Gaga’s latest album Born This Way has won her many fans in India because of the ‘Desi’ remixed version of the title song featuring Indian music instruments like the tabla and sitar. Indian composers Salim-Suleiman have remixed the song.

We’re sure it would be the drawcard at Gaga concerts to cheer the Indian crowd.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that actress Shriya Saran will be a part of Kamal Haasan's upcoming Viswaroopam!
A source close to the development said, "Shriya is likely to play the second heroine in Viswaroopam. The earlier director, Selvaraghavan, gave her a narration of her role and she liked it. Actually, she was supposed to do Kamal's Marmayogi and even did a photoshoot for the film. As of now, she is the front runner to play the important role in the film. It'll be finalized in the next couple of days."

Actress Vidya Balan may have charmed painter MF Hussain with her acting histrionics, but it seems like his muse still continues to be actress Amrita Rao. In fact, the actor, who’s just returned from a vacation in London with family, also spent a lot of time catching up with the painter, who had invited her there, after he loved her performance in her last film with Tusshar Kapoor.
According to sources, Hussain had even arranged for personal screenings of Love U Mr Kalakar for his own family there. A source revealed that Hussain loved the film and post the screening, couldn’t stop praising the pretty actor. “Amrita has yet again charmed me as the vivacious-girl-next-door,” the painter said.
The painter had earlier spoken about how he felt that Amrita is a rare combination of innocence and beauty, a rarity at times when most Bollywood leading ladies are reduced to item-girls!

Bollywood New Looks Kajal Agarwal

\
May 31, 2011, (Sawf News) - The filming of Rohit Shetty's action thriller Singham headlining Ajay Devgn was stopped on Monday late noon, May 30, in Mumbai over alleged non-payment of wages to the workers, a source from the set tells Sawfnews.com.
The Federation Of Western India Cine Employees(FWICE) intervened on behalf of unpaid workers and filming.
The shoot was allowed to restart only after outstanding payments were made by the producers, Reliance BIG Pictures.
FWICE chairperson Mr. Prem Singh Thakur said, "It was a huge amount that was over due. A total payment of over Rs. 45,50,000 had not been made to the workers working on the film. We had to intervene and stop the shooting on the film's sets."
When contacted, a Reliance BIG Pictures official told us off the record, "Yes the shoot was stopped but the reason was a payment misunderstanding. There is nothing due now. We have done the needful."
Singham, a remake of the Tamil hit of the same name, is set for a July 22 release.
Singham pairs Devgn with South actress Kajal Agarwal who makes her Bollywood debut with the film.
Filming began on March 2 in Goa. Currently patch work of the film is being shot in and around Mumbai.
Devgn plays sub-Inspector Bajirao Singham, a brave and just policeman who serves in his hometown primarily to fulfill his father's wish. Her dream came true with an opportunity to play opposite him in ‘The Businessman’.

But there is one more character which I desire to play in a film. That is ‘Anarkali’s role’. I dreamt of playing the role as the character will have strong emotions. Especially, we can leave indelible impressions in the minds of audiences by playing such roles. I have many more such wishes in my mind.’
Her recent release ‘Mr Perfect’ was a big hit and her Bollywood film ‘Singam’ is getting ready for release. Not only in Telugu and Hindi, Kajal is also playing opposite Surya in a Tamil film.
When asked whether should would change her hobbies for the sake of her would be husband, she says, ‘Of course, if he doesn’t like any of my hobbies, I will change them. But I will never accept a husband who had the qualities of ‘Mr Perfect’. It is not that easy to compromise for everything for his sake. One should have maturity to understand such kind of characters.’

Sonakshi’s cat fights?
Katrina Kaif: Kat was apparently miffed with reports that said Sonakshi has replaced her in a few ads and films. Sonakshi sent her a text message to sort things out, but Kat didn’t respond. Reports also said that Sonakshi was on the verge of breaking down when Salman asked her to lie low for a while.

Zarine Khan: Apparently, Sonakshi attended an impromptu bash Salman Khan held after Ready’s music launch. Rumoured to be very possessive of Salman, Sonakshi pushed Zarine while walking past, and pretended to not even realise what she did. Sonakshi, of course, denied the incident ever took place.

So, when in town, she didn’t mind calling up the service desk at her hotel to find out if they would give her some Goanese fish curry instead. Sonakshi Sinha loves her food and can never go on a diet. She would much rather workout to keep in shape. After a wholesome meal at a city studio on a sultry Sunday afternoon, which left her content and beaming, she settled in the cooler confines of her make-up van to talk about her other food of life — cinema.

School’s almost out and Bollywood filmmakers are rubbing their hands with glee as the summer season blockbuster period has just officially kicked off.

Salman Khan and Asin’s “Ready”, which is premiering today in Dubai is the first film in a long line of summer movies that will be playing shortly in a marquee near you.

Salman Khan returns in a role that he can now sleepwalk through, but expectations are high considering his previous outing at the cinema was the mega hit “Dabangg”, which also just walked away with the National Award, India’s highest honour bestowed on the film industry.

In this Anees Bazmee and Khan-directed comedy, the latter returns to the silver screen in his Prem name avatar, a do-gooder who reunites lovers.

While helping innocent Sanjanna (Asin) escape her own wedding, the duo fall in love and battle a twisted plot of greedy uncles who want to gulp down Sanjanna’s family fortune, while placating Prem’s madcap family.

The film also has sneak peeks by Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut.
