‘Monica’ a political drama, directed by Sushen Bhatnagar is a movie based on the life of Shivani Bhatnagar, a journalist who was found murdered in her Delhi flat a few years ago. Divya Dutta who will be playing the role of Shivani has gone ahead and done some really bold scenes in the movie. Ashutosh Rana will play the role of a politician in ‘Monica’, opposite Divya Dutta, who exploits and uses her.
Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Ragini MMS’ which is set to release next week is also a true story about Ragini. The movie is about Ragini, a female who faces the wrath after she was filmed by her boyfriend in some abandoned house during their intimate moments. According to Ekta Kapoor, the movie is 50% true as the horror factor has been added to the movie just to add zing to the film. Apart from that, the whole movie is true.
‘No One Killed Jessica’, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta is a true story which deal with the hard facts of India’s most written about case – the Jessica Lall murder case. It is a movie that shows the dramatic handling of the crime in a very real way. It is a remarkable blend of facts and fiction which have been inspired by a series of real-life episodes. Vidya Balan plays the role of Sabrina Lall in the movie whereas Rani Mukerji plays the role of Meera Gaity, a journalist.
Vidya Balan is all set to play the role of Silk Smitha, one of Southern India’s famous sex symbols. The various ups and downs of her life along with her tragic death of Silk Smitha, the sex siren who became an inseparable part of South Indian cinema is displayed in the movie. Vidya will have the tough task of showing Silk Smitha's complex and tragic journey from poor village girl to popular soft porn actress.
